maybe next year

yesterday when i clicked over at patty’s spot…
blessed moon…
i thought… “me toooooo”!
hey… i’m part of that hop… the “i’m not at blissdom” hop.

i tried…
i did.
i closed my eyes… i clicked my heals.
nope.
there i was…
still sitting there in the snow in WY.

i even considered making a little flat me.
that too clever idea cathe!
so great!
loved the idea to pieces!
then… i just needed to find someone to bribe to drag me along.
if i promised to be good… be quiet… and just stay put.
but nope.
never did make that flat me.

i think the whole idea of going to blissdom…
the thought of it at least…
seems a bit…
let me find the right word…………
freaky! 
ALL those bloggers… all in ONE spot.
SEEING them.
you know… in real life.
freaky!
all that considered… as freaky as it seems…
still FUN i can imagine.

i have met the MOST amazing people through blogging.
just to get a chance meet even a few of them would be too neat. 
VERY neat i think.
and seeing that i have on my list…
some way… some how… to meet fellow bloggers.
this would be a good opportunity.
possibly.
that…
or…
just get some of yall to come this way…
and sit in the snow WITH me!
now that could be fun!

heLLO monday

she was the lookout i suppose.
making sure no one was going to crash their fort.


even gretel was trying to get a peek inside.

it was one of THOSE weekends.
an inside… out of the cold… kicking back kind.
a little fort building.
cookie baking.
a bit of painting.
a good weekend it was!


we dug into a king cake too.
little bit was the lucky finder.
she was so excited…
the deal was… whoever found it got to pick our family movie that night.
so… space buddies it was.

and how about the saints!
that was such a great game!
hubby might be from Indi… wore his blue and all but…
wow…
those saints were incredible!
and how awesome…
first time to super bowl AND they got a win!
gotta love that!

hands down my favorite commercial had to be the
cute longhorn… clydesdale… friends…  budweiser commercial.
i loved that one.
wasn’t it SO cute?
AND so true…
no fence… of any kind… can keep good friends from being together.

just like we dug into that king cake…
i am eager to dig into this week!

yesterday afternoon we took a big breather… outside.


there is a bit of snow still here & there although…
with unseasonable warm temps reaching the forties…
we were loving it!

i kept wondering what she was…
a plane… a butterfly… a buzzing bee…
riley… what are you?
”i’m a BIRD… a blue bird!”

and she flew by.


so then i get a message from my diptych partner…
she had come up with four great ideas… but one jumped out at me…
because it so perfectly fit what i had JUST captured.

and THEN… truly tickled to see how well it fit with her photo.

i could not get over the colors… the look… the similarities… SO fun.
