it’s FriDaY… we made it!

there were moments that got hairy right?
felt like… “uggggggh” come on weekend!

all i know… the MORE hectic the week…
the more grateful FOR the weekend!


i am loving today!

feeling LOTS of good!
feeling LOTS of thankfulness!
feeling a good little kick from my coffee!

rolled in some blue

so what do you do when you’re having a blue day…
you pull out some BLUE paint!


had found this table at a second hand store…
solid wood… heavy… good bones… wasn’t WILD about the black though.
LOVE black pieces… just wasn’t in love with THIS piece being black.
so… it was time to paint.


my favorite thing… the casters we added.
WHAT IS IT about little wheels… i LOVE them.
instant fun!


plus… since this is for our family room downstairs (basement)…
and we get crazy on the wii down there  :)…
the table just rolls right out of the way!


awwwwwe…
now when we hang out…
our feet will be propped up on something bright & a bit more fun.




it even makes our vintage box… that i SO love… that hold the remotes… POP!


i just love pops of color!  don’t you?  it makes me happy i think!
my day started out blue… AND ended blue… a GOOD kind of blue!

now… i need to put some casters on MY FEET and get rolling… lots to tackle!

there are mornings you just need a little love.

when things didn’t go so well in the mayhem of the “get to school” rush.
when you felt like you could burst into tears.
when you go to the gym and IT kicks your butt instead of YOU kicking it.
when you just don’t feel yourself.
when you feel overwhelmed by the mess in the house.
when you feel a bit let down.

there are little things…
super simple little things…
that can bring a smile!

i reached in to grab a handful…
and i had forgotten that there are little bits of love scattered throughout the box.

YES…
i know… SILLY…
but sometimes it IS the little things that can reach out and bring you a smile!

i hope…
there are MANY little things throughout your day that jump out
and bring YOU a smile too!

evening glow

awe…
i just love the glow inside your home when the sun sets.
when lamps here and there light your path around each corner.
when your little treasures seem to come alive.
when you feel the closing of the day… and the hope of tomorrow.
 

there is a coziness that comes with the night.


an inner peace.


and there is something about a sunday evening.

a different feeling.
things are coming to a close.
but things are also just beginning.
the week is new.
and so are the possibilities.

one thing i know for sure…
today is monday AND…
monday means back to school…
which means mama gets two hours of free time…
AWE!

monday…
i know you like to be packed with a lot of punch… can be a bit crazy… but…
i am ready for you!

as i was reminded again last night
by those tiny wet footprints fresh out of the BATH…
we… are truly BLESSED.

those footprints represent so many children…
that today need clean water to simply SURVIVE.
4500 mothers bury their children EVERY DAY due to contaminated water.
not by choice… they simply do not have access to clean water like we do.


today... November 13... 
is a chance to do a small part…
