thankful ladder…

IMG_8649
so last year we had a thankful “tree”
but when we moved our packers THOUGHT the twigs were rubbish…
oops…
oh well…
so i peeked around the house and thought… why not use our ladder!

a ladder… sure… why not!
ANYTHING works!

thankful ladder-1
we’re at our beginning stages… a few days in… and already i can FEEL a shift.

it is so easy to focus on what is not right…
the things that could be fixed… be better… be changed.

frankly our lives are far from perfect.
we’re human… we have struggles… hurts… pain…
we will always need some fixing in some way shape or form.
we are ever growing… ever changing………… THANKFULLY!

focusing on ALL the good… there IS a shift!
you SEE so clearly ALL the great gifts around you!

we have SO much for which to be GRATEFUL… be THANKFUL!

i ADORE this one lil bit made!

i’ll post again as we near the end…
should be fun to see all the thankful GROW!

i would love to know if you do something along these lines.
if not… join in!
super easy… super fun… the kids love it… and i promise you’ll FEEL a shift!

hAppY fRidAy yall!
here’s to embracing ALL the good…
ALL the “THANKFUL”… all around us!

What a wonderful idea! And I think it's great that you are teaching thankfulness to your kids!

I just love this and definitely want to create something like it. I also love the one that Nancy at The Goat and The Kid made. Thanksgiving took on a whole new meaning for our family 2 years ago and it really shifted our thinking, too. The most important tradition we have is to bake treats for the doctors and nurses at the children's hospital that cared for our son, and then we deliver them on Thanksgiving. Even though they were not able to save his life we feel VERY thankful for everything they did for him and us, and we want our living children to grow up understanding that. I keep meaning to do a blog post about this. I think I will do that soon!!

Thanks for always sharing inspiration and your faith. You blog is one of my faves!

I love your ladder... every single bit of the idea. We did a turkey. A little "schoolish" but still cute and purposeful. I posted about it today too. Great minds think alike, right? Heehee! Isn't it great to stop and show this to our girls? I love your thankful ladder. love. it! Happy weekend.

What a lovely idea for November! I must do something like this with my boys to help us focus on what we have, rather than have-not. Thanks for sharing!

I love how you inspired us to make a "thankful tree" last year. I almost took it down after Thanksgiving but my daughter said to me , "Mommy, why are you taking the thankful tree down when we are still thankful for those things?" Then it stayed up till summer! Can't wait to do it again this year. Ladder idea is clever!

Hi there.
I just recently discovered your blog via Google Reader (gotta love G.R.).
I have been thoroughly enjoying having a look around. You have a lovely blog and a beautiful family.
I do a feature on my blog every Saturday called "Inspire My Saturday". I would really like to include your thankful ladder this week. I hope that is okay. I will absolutely link back to you. I just know that my readers would love this.
If this is a problem, please let me know.
