mini me…

so…
the other day…
on about the last five hours of our drive from Texas…back to Wyoming…
i felt about like this…

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
i wanted to pull out some grass or MY hair!
that is one LONG drive!

FIRST… let me say… i REALLY AM a good mom!  :)
this was after a LONG day… LOADS of fun… no nap… and not getting HER way!
i am CONFIDENT you moms can SO relate!
she really is a doll!

i could probably count on one had the number of fits she’s had…
this was the BIGGY
she was just EXHAUSTED!
long story…
but basically what caused her meltdown…
was ME not sitting where SHE wanted me too on the four wheeler!
silly goose!
i just look at this and think…
she will be one STRONG & DETERMINED gal one day…
i am SO glad nonny got it on video…
AND
we could win some big bucks on America’s Funniest Video!
ya think!!!!!!!
i sure love my little drama queen!

we HAVE made it back to Wyoming…
and are SO looking forward to getting into our house!
we did hit a small delay… and will be closing a few days later… boo!
but… soon!
our “living out of a suitcase” days are coming to an end!
beside ourselves ready & excited!

looking forward to the LITTLE things that make BEing home so great!

big hugs to you
AND please tell me your kids have had a tantrum like this too before… PLEASE!

my girls have all had big tantrums.. I score them on a scale of 1 to 10... we adults feel that out of control at times but we hold it in.. imagine if we just let it out.. it would be a whole lot uglier than any tantrum our kids can throw!
your are not alone. i am happy to hear you are getting into your new place soon.. we are transitioning to our new home now... only in for about one month. we lived out of suitcases and bins for over 3 months.. it is good to just BE at home.. my prayers are with you!

This is the kind of stuff that most moms don't put on their blogs. Bless you for doing it and letting the rest of us know we are not alone! Thankfully, they don't happen too often, but we have had some tantrums like this at our house, too. (She will love watching this someday when she is older, don't you think?!) Good luck with the move and getting all settled and organized! I can't wait to see what you do in your new place! (btw... I found you from Meg... she's my neighbor.)

That was awesome! :) YOu totally need to save that to play back to her when she is older. :) Wedding day perhaps?

I'm rolling! That is hilarious! I can't wait until she sees that when she is older! What a cutie-patootie!

Oh my goodness...we've never experienced that!! (Totally kidding!) My daughter has had a handful of temper tantrums...she's always been very easy...but when the melt down happens....look out! I've got one of her too...we all have had it at one time. I love that you caught it on video!

Did she sleep well that night? I bet she was exhausted!! Can't wait to see your new home and catch up on your life friend!!

Boy do you have your work cut out for you when the teen years begin!!! Poor little thing , I bet if you threw in a " your tired aren't you ?" she would scream " I am not tired!" like mine so often do.

Oh my does this bring back memories for me as a mama. My oldest daughter used to do this frequently when she did not get her way. You just have to laugh....even though at the time it is certainly not funny! I liked to use a quote I saw on a Mary Engelbreit card once....."Snap out of it!" :) Can't wait to see pictures of your new home. I bet it is going to be lovely. Hang in there! :)

i have a question for you.
i am asking my fav. photographers where they develop their pictures...personal or business?
please share a favorite website that you use PLEASE>

thinking about you in a hotel.
i hope you are at least enjoying super yummy continental breakfasts everyday!

Oh I'm so glad to see that other people's kiddos do that too and its not just mine. And yes...long days, no naps, and not getting your way results in meltdowns around here too. Thanks for sharing!

Oh Carissa, thanks for sharing your sweet daughters meltdown, i had to show my hubby so we both can feel like we are not alone in the meltdown moments! hee hee yep we to have been there and it has also only been a handful of times but it's happened! We was seriously pulling out the grass! I can't help but laugh! I am sure you thought it was never going to end! did she fall a sleep after all that energy she released?

Well, I don't have little ones yet (but am looking forward to the day when we do!), but I have felt that way after a long drive or flight! haha I'm just trying not to have one of those meltdowns myself, as we are in the midst of getting ready for the movers to arrive in a little over a week. You know the feeling! Congrats on finding a new home...hope you have fun decorating and getting settled! I always enjoy stopping by your blog...you do have the most adorable girls!! I will often find myself telling my hubby about something cute or funny they did or about an awesome pic you took of them. I just say, "you know...I've told you about Brown Eyed Fox!" haha

Your thoughts have often added a smile or bit of inspiration to my day! Thanks so much for sharing! :) Hope you all have a fun weekend!

Girl, this made me laugh out loud and TOTALLY relate. Makes me feel so much better to SEE that other moms deal with the same things. =) It's one thing to hear that they do; it's something totally heart warming to see it. =)

I'm so glad you're getting settled in! Talk soon. =)

I am so glad you posted that so we can all feel "normal". My oldest is the strong-willed "gotta get my way right away" kind. He is sweet as can be too though. Not getting a nap is usually the only time I see it, thank goodness. And honestly, we all feel like that at times. It is the sweet honesty in kids!! Love it. :-) And glad you didn't pull out your hair on the long trip and now you are HOME. :-)

I do realize that as a mom, it's funny but it's not! She was having a meltdown, bless her heart but I bet you guys were physically and emotionnally exhausted from all the driving. Plus she wasn't a happy camper knowing that she was being videoed. Well, drama queen or not...your girls are adorable!!!
